18mm F2.8 AF Compact Full Frame Super Wide Angle

The ROKINON AF 18mm F2.8 Full Frame Lens for Sony E mount is optimized for portability, compactness, and ergonomic handling.

It is ROKINON‘s fourth compact lens designed specifically for Sony mirrorless cameras which are surprisingly capable for their size. At 5.12oz in weight and 1.99” in length, it is the most compact, lightweight, and affordable super-wide angle full frame lens for Sony E mount.

The 18mm focal length provides a rectilinear 100.1° super wide angle view that is especially suitable for landscape, interior, architectural, and night sky applications. For Sony APS-C sensor cameras, the focal length is equivalent to 27mm with a 76.2° field of view.

Optically, the lens is made up of nine Ultra Multicoated elements in eight groups. Eight specialized lens elements (3 Aspherical, 2 High Refractive Index, and 3 Extra-low Dispersion elements) combine to minimize distortion and ensure high image sharpness, clarity, and contrast.

The internal focusing design of the ROKINON AF 18mm utilizes a STM (Stepless Motor) for quiet, smooth and precise autofocusing to 9.8”. This also prevents both changes in length and front element rotation to enable easy use of 58mm polarizing and other filters that require precise positioning.

This compact wide-angle optic is designed with a metal mount and glass strengthened composite material to reduce weight while increasing durability. Each lens comes equipped with a removable petal-shaped hood, lens caps, and a custom fitted case.

45mm F1.8 AF Compact Full Frame

The 45mm focal length provides a natural appearance, approximating how we perceive a scene with our own eyes.  It is actually closer to the human eye than a 50mm focal length is. This focal length is great for general purpose use and can be readily used for portraiture, extreme sports, parties, lifestyle, architecture, landscape, street photography and more.

Optically, the lens is made up of 7 elements in 6 groups. Two Aspherical plus one Extra-low Dispersion element and Ultra Multi-Coating are utilized to effectively control vignetting, distortion and chromatic aberration. Additionally, the rounded nine-blade diaphragm and F1.8 bright aperture produce a pleasing out-of-focus quality when working with shallow depth of field techniques. 

The minimum focusing distance is 17.7” and the 49mm non-rotating filter mount allows for easy use of polarizing and other filters that require precise positioning. For Sony APS-C sensor cameras, the focal length is equivalent to a moderate telephoto of 67.5mm.

75mm F1.8 AF Compact Full Frame Telephoto

ROKINON’s AF 75mm F1.8 Full Frame Telephoto Lens for Sony E mount offers a fast maximum aperture within a compact design. It is Rokinon’s fifth compact lens and its ninth auto focus specifically formulated for Sony mirrorless cameras. Weighing just 8.1 ounces and measuring just 2.7 inches in length, it is the lightest and smallest AF full frame portrait-length lens currently in the market.

The 75mm lens’ significant reduction in weight and size is effectively paired with a sophisticated optical construction to provide excellent performance and versatility. Five special elements (3 Extra Low Dispersion and 2 High Refractive Index) plus Ultra Multi-Coating are utilized to create results with incredible sharpness, low chromatic aberration, and greater contrast and color fidelity. Its portability and performance can also be enjoyed with Sony E mount APS-C sensor models where it performs as a short telephoto with a focal length equivalent to 112.5mm.

The 75mm focal length and F1.8 aperture combine to provide precise selective focus control that effectively isolates subjects from the background while still including enough background to help tell a story. Beautiful bokeh at all apertures exhibiting natural, circular, out-of-focus highlights can be achieved due to specifically designed optics and the 9 blade rounded iris. In addition, it features a new Stepping Motor (STM) design for faster, quieter and more accurate focusing for both stills and video applications.

A new notable feature is the addition of a Custom Switch. The Custom Switch enables the focusing ring to function either as a manual focus control (Mode 1) or as an aperture control (Mode 2). Additional custom switch functions are being developed that can be added via firmware updates. Updates as well as fine tuning focusing parameters can be achieved on the AF 75mm F1.8 and other AF ROKINON Sony E mount lenses via the accessory ROKINON Lens Station model IOLS-E.
